Username availability data

The list of platforms and the rules for detecting whether a handle is taken are adapted from the WhatsMyName project by Micah Hoffman and contributors, used under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license.

Domain availability

Domain checks use RDAP, the registry data protocol maintained by the registries and IANA. It is the authoritative, public source for whether a domain is registered.

Everything else

The name generator, color palettes (built in OKLCH) and taglines are our own work, written from scratch with no third-party data. No AI models are used anywhere in this tool.
